BIO

GIL FRESTON was born & raised in Tribeca when it resembled downtown New York and not downtown Dubai. His love for writing, directing, and theatre began during a 10th grade exchange program in Paris where he studied the French New Wave Cinema and began to take himself very seriously.

Upon graduating the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Gil directed his first independent feature film, PALADAR, a documentary he made on his friends’ underground restaurant they ran out of their college apartment. PALADAR later ran in the TriBeCa Film Festival 2013, while afterward, he continued to write and direct commercials and narrative entertainment. Gil currently is set to produce, write, and direct a variety of limited series, documentaries, and scripted films.
